Commentary: Pakistan arrests teen suspect in Bhutto plot

Media reports say that Pakistani officials have arrested a 15-year-old Aitezaz Shah in connection with the murder of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. The officials say that he was the part of the team which was sent to kill Benazir Bhutto. However, Pakistan’s interior ministry denied this report.

I find the story very unconvincing. It looks that he was tortured to make the confession. This action will further increase the crisis. The government should not commit another folly. Otherwise, it will endanger the federation.
