News reports say that the US has asked Pakistan to secure its border. It is said Pakistani prime minister said his government would do its best to secure the border.

How can Mr. Gilani made that commitment. He must know it is very difficult to control this porous border. It would require a lot of resources and man power to do that. Pakistan is already employing 80 thousand troops to fight militants. Can we spare more troops to assist American forces?
