Oil from Iran

Posted on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 04:21PM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

Iran has offered to give oil to Pakistan on differed payment basis. News reports say that Iranian government is willing to the offer the facility for three months deferred. It is reported that Pakistan has made a request to extend the period.

If Iranian government accepts Pakistan's request, it will ease Pakistan’s economic woes. This agreement will ring alarm bells in Washington.

It looks Washington’s threats and bullying attitude has alienated its ally. That’s why they are asking its enemy for help.

Missile attacks proving to be counter productive

Posted on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 05:57AM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

The U.S. has carried out at least 11 missile attacks on Pakistan’s tribal areas. The Bush administration’s officials claim that they have killed many militants. It is very difficult to say whether their attacks were successful. However, their military offensives against militants are generating anti-American sentiments. Modern Pakistani secularists who used to support their actions are voicing concerns over their attacks. Images of children and women killed in these attacks are changing the minds of educated Pakistan elite too.

Improve relationship with India

Posted on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 03:40AM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

President Asif Ali Zardari wants to improve relationship with India. He says Pakistan’s survival lies in establishing trade links with India. He said that India is not a threat to Pakistan. He is of the opinion that Pakistan should pay attention to overcome its economic crisis.

I agree with what President Zardari has expressed. We have been wasting our national resources to destroy India. Time has come for Pakistan to divert all those resources to improve the lives our people. I know Pakistan’s powerful establishment will resist his moves. I urge Pakistan nation to support President Zardari on this issue.

Kidnapped Chinese Engineers

Posted on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at 09:11AM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

Militants operating in Swat has released the pictures of Chinese engineers to the press. I fail to understand why these militants kidnap Chinese engineers. These engineers are in Pakistan to help Pakistan to bring prosperity in the country.

Chinese are our friend and strategic partner. Government should try to release these engineers at all costs.

These misguided militants are weakening Pakistani because of their stupid actions.

Pakistan can go bankrupt

Posted on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 09:07AM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

Reports indicate that Pakistan economic condition is not good. The country has $8.14 billion (£4.65 billion) of foreign currency to pay for imports of oil and food.

The present government has failed to get loans from friendly countries. Even Saudis have refused to extend their help. Pakistan had requested them to defer oil payments. But they refused. In this situation, if the government failed to get money in 30 days, Pakistan will go bankrupt.

Pakistan leaders following American policy

Posted on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 05:40PM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

American al Qaeda militant Adam Gadahn accused the new civilian leaders of being subservient to the Bush Administration. He said in his video message that these puppets are also helping Americans.

I agree completely with the first part of his statement. They are still following the policies defined by Americans. Sooner or later, they will face mounting pressure from public to openly declare their policy on war on terror.

Western media and press criticizing army operation in the trial areas

Posted on Friday, October 3, 2008 at 01:51PM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | Comments1 Comment

I am shocked the duplicity of western media and press. The U.S. officials and press used to complaint that Pakistan is not doing enough to curb militancy in the tribal region. Now Pakistan Army has started operations against Taliban and other militants groups in the area. They have started a smearing campaign against the Pakistan army. They are saying that their operation is causing deaths and havoc in the region. They are doing this to win the favor of Pushtoons. So they can divert their anger to create a movement for separate homeland for Pushtoons.

Pakistan Army's success in Bajaour will help Americans

Posted on Monday, September 29, 2008 at 08:02AM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | Comments1 Comment

Pakistan Army has killed 1000 militants in their Bajaur operation. The operation which started six weeks ago is very important for Pakistan Army. If the army succeeds in driving militants out of this area, it will weaken the militants.

Pakistani Army's success will help Americans fight militancy in Kunar province.

Militants are offering very tough resistance to the army. They have destroyed many Pakistani tanks. Pakistan Army chief visited the area tomorrow to thank the local people and elders. Their help is crucial for the success of the operation.

President's visit failed to stop incurssions

Posted on Friday, September 26, 2008 at 11:21AM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment
Pakistan People's Party leaders are saying that President's visit is successful. However, Mr. Zardari's statements give the impression that he could not get assurances on border raids.

It means the American forces will carry on their raids in future.

I urge president to chalk a plan to solve the situation in Pakistan's tribal areas. Successive governments have been making rhetoric statements to solve the problem. But we did not see the policy which they expressed in their statements implemented in the tribal areas. In my opinion, time is running out for government officials and Pakistan army. A time will come when tribal people will turn against Pakistan and side with international powers who are bent on destroying Pakistan.

Pushtoon will rise against Pakistan army

Posted on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 12:22PM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | Comments1 Comment

Americans are now putting pressure on Pakistan to escalate their operations against the militants in Pakistan’s tribal areas. In my opinion, escalation of operations will further complicate the matter. The huge civilian causalities caused by operations and Americans raids will anger general Pushtoons. It will split the Pakistan army , if they continued their operations. We all know that there are a large number of Pushtoons in commanding positions in the Pakistan army. They will not tolerate the murder of their people in the name of war on terror.

Raids inside Pakistan fuelling Pashtun nationalism

Posted on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 06:09AM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

It has transpired that American intelligence experts regularly meet Maulana Fazlullah, a regional pro-Taliban leader at the Serena Hotel in Swat. This news confirms that American are inciting Taliban to fight Pakistan Army.

This news reveals to me the whole situation of the tribal areas. Americans are conspiring to revive the Pashtun nationalism. This will result in the break of Pakistan. It is said that they raids have fuelled Pashtun nationalism.

I hope Pakistan Army knows what is going on in the triabl area. They should do some thinking to frustrate the attempts of our enemies.

What strained US-Pakistan relations

Posted on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 04:46AM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

Something people America attacked because it failed to rein in militants in its tribal areas. America people public think Pakistan must do as America officials ask them do.

Do they think Pakistan Army of bunch of mercenaries who could anything?

Americans are responsible the strained relations. They allowed Indian and other anti-Pakistan elements to operate from Afghanistan. Despite Pakistan’s repeated requests they did not apprehend them.

Fresh missile attack kills six people in Pakistan

Posted on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 12:52AM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

Six people have died in a fresh missile attack in South Waziristan Agencies. Pakistanis Intelligence officials said the US targeted a base used by militant group Hezb-i-Islami, another group fighting U.S. and government troops in neighboring Afghanistan.

It appears the US wants to start a war in the region. Adm. Mullen had promised they would respect Pakistan’s Pakistan's sovereignty.

I fail to understand to why the US is provoking Pakistan. Pakistanis are mentally prepared for a war. They think diplomacy will not stop Americans from carrying out attacks.

Adm. Mullen in Pakistan to ease tensions

Posted on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 04:21PM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

Reports say that Adm Michael Mullen has come to Islamabad to ease tensions created fatally reckless raids conducted by American forces in the tribal areas.

Pakistan has made it clear it would repulse future raids. Pakistani Army believes that raids will increase sympathies for Taliban in the tribal. They will get help and logistical support from tribemen. This will make Pakistan Army’s work difficult.

The question is: Why does America want to start a war with a country which has a hundred plus nuclear weapons. Do American planners realize the repercussion of their plan?

Commentary: Afghanistan welcomes 'war on terror' shift on 9/11 anniversary

Posted on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 02:32PM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

Afghan President Hamid Karzai supports US raids inside Pakistani territory to eliminate alqaeda and Taliban operatives. He expressed theses views while commenting the statements of US military chief.

Karzai looks happy at the change in US strategy. He does not realize the repercussions of US actions It will start a war and landlock Afghanistan will beg for foods and other supplies for its people.

In my opinion, US arrogance will start another war in the region. Pakistan maintains a trained and professional army. It does not maintain Republic Guards like Saddams. If the US is counting on India to help him in war against Pakistan, they will be disappointed. There are enough militants in Kashmir to keep India busy.

Commentary:Zardari says "good news" on Kashmir soon

Posted on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 04:33PM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

President Zardari has said that Pakistani nation will soon hear good news about Kashmir. He expressed this intention while addressing a press conference with Afghanistan.

As a Pakistani, I urge President to stop the policy of intervention in Kashmir. This policy is only benefiting the Army and religious organizations.

Kashmiris should be asked to remain with the Indian Union. They should ask Central government to make a plan to improve the lives of poor Kashmiris.

Mr. Zardari pay attention to the economic crisis facing Pakistani

Posted on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 08:24AM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

President Zardari made a promised that he would use all his energies to fight militancy in the country. There is no doubt Pakistan is facing militancy in the tribal areas. People are saying that this statement was given to please the western and American officials.

It is the desire of the Pakistani people that President Zardari should chalk out plans to get the country out of economic crisis facing the country.

Zardari promises to eliminate militancy

Posted on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 05:38AM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

Mr. Zardari has vowed to eliminate militancy from the country. He promised to great attention to war on terror. His tone and rhetoric indicated that he would devote his money and energy for the American in the region. The presence of Mr. Karzai and his press conference clearly confirmed that.

The question is : Why did he let the men who have been giving venomous statements against Pakistan, join his press conference?

Commentary: Asif Ali Zardari orders ceasefire for votes

Posted on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 06:17PM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

I was shocked to hear that Mr. Zardari stopped the ongoing operations against militants to get the votes of religious parties in the presidential election. His Interior ministry advisor told us the they were stopping the operations in the honor of the holy month.

In my opinion, Pakistani leaders are incorrigible. They can sell their mother country for few dollars. The decision to stop the operation will give time to militants to regroup and refill their supplies and carry out their subversive activities with new vigor.
