Turmeric for slimming

Turmeric has many properties, one of which is to support weight loss. It contains curcumin, which has been used to create dietary supplements to help lose weight. Does turmeric work the same way?

How does turmeric work for weight loss?

Curcumin, turmeric's active ingredient, is what makes it effective for weight loss. How does curcumin aid in losing weight? There are a number of mechanisms that could both directly and indirectly support this:

  • fights free radicals (responsible for cancer and aging processes, but also for the formation of resistant visceral adipose tissue),
  • has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties (so it reduces inflammation associated with obesity),
  • supports the functioning of the liver (and this is one of the organs responsible for proper digestion),
  • increases the level of bile (which supports the process of dissolving dietary fat and improves digestion),
  • stabilizes blood glucose levels (prevents or reduces insulin resistance),
  • accelerates metabolism ,
  • prevents bloating and aids digestion.

Curcumin supports weight loss, and a study of 44 people showed significant weight loss, reduction in BMI and waist circumference after taking 800 mg of curcumin and pepper piperine for 30 days. This is important because all participants had previously struggled with weight loss.

Curcumin has been shown to reduce weight and increase adiponectin, a hormone responsible for the proper metabolism of fatty acids and glucose.

Curcumin capsules were consumed by those who noticed these changes. It should be kept in mind that turmeric only contains a small percentage of the ingredient curcumin. Due to curcumin's poor water solubility, its fat-burning abilities may be diminished by a low-fat diet.

Turmeric infusion for weight loss

Turmeric tea is one method for promoting weight loss. It is worth combining turmeric with ginger in the slimming mixture if you want to use this natural fat burner, as ginger is one of the ingredients that naturally speeds up metabolism. The process of burning fat will be more efficient as a result.

Ingredients:

  • 2 glasses of water,
  • 2 teaspoons ground turmeric,
  • 2 tbsp freshly ground ginger root,
  • 1 teaspoon of honey,
  • 1 slice of lemon.

How to use turmeric for weight loss?

Turmeric can be added to foods and drinks for weight loss, but it should not be drunk during pregnancy due to curcumin's potential to increase uterine contractions. Black pepper also contains piperine, making it better absorbed.

A reasonable daily dose of turmeric for weight loss seems to be about a teaspoon (5 g) of turmeric per day .

Turmeric has no active fat-burning effect, but it is often used in fat burners. Treat it as an addition to weight loss efforts, not as a main line of action.

Flying Just Got a Lot More Expensive — and Tariffs Are Only the Beginning

As trade tensions escalate between major economies, new tariff uncertainties are weighing heavily on airlines. The consequences will ripple far beyond boardrooms and airfields: travelers should expect higher ticket prices, fewer route options, and a possible reshaping of the global aviation landscape. Immediate Impacts: Airlines Navigate a New Set of Risks In the short term, airlines are grappling with a complex mix of operational challenges: First, the aircraft supply chain is under pressure. Trade disputes between the United States, the European Union, and China have complicated the procurement of new planes. Manufacturers like Boeing, Airbus, and China's state-backed COMAC are caught in the middle, creating delays and pricing uncertainty for carriers ( Reuters ). Fuel markets are similarly volatile. Airlines typically hedge fuel prices months in advance to avoid sudden cost spikes. However, unpredictable shifts in global oil prices—driven in part by trade instability—are u...

Could the Crown Slip? The Dollar's Grip in a Shifting World

Alright, let's dive into the fascinating, and often overstated, question of whether the Euro could dethrone the mighty Dollar. Forget the daily market jitters; we're talking about the bedrock of global finance here. For decades, the US dollar has reigned supreme as the world's reserve currency. It's the currency most central banks hold in their reserves, the one used for pricing major commodities like oil, and the go-to for international trade. This dominance isn't just about bragging rights; it gives the US significant economic advantages, from lower borrowing costs to the ability to exert financial influence globally. But lately, whispers of change have grown louder. The idea that the dollar's grip might be loosening isn't some fringe conspiracy theory. Factors like the sheer scale of US debt, occasional bouts of political instability, and even the weaponization of financial sanctions have prompted some nations to explore alternatives. Think of it like a ...
