what is love jihad campaign? is there any truth in conspiracy theory?

Love Jihad is a conspiracy theory that originated in India and is promoted by Hindu nationalist groups[1][2]. The theory claims that Muslim men target Hindu women for conversion to Islam by means such as seduction, feigning love, deception, kidnapping, and marriage, as part of a broader demographic "war" by Muslims against India, and an organized international conspiracy, for domination through demographic growth and replacement[2]. The theory emerged in 2009 in the state of Kerala and has since spread to other parts of India[3].

There is no evidence to support the Love Jihad conspiracy theory, and it has been widely criticized as Islamophobic and divisive[1][2][4]. Muslim leaders have referred to the 2014 rhetoric around the alleged conspiracy as a campaign of hate, and feminists have voiced concerns that efforts to protect women against the alleged activities would negatively impact women's rights, depriving them of free choice and agency[2].

While some right-wing groups continue to promote the Love Jihad conspiracy theory, government officials and police have denied its validity[5][2]. The theory has been exposed as a baseless and dangerous conspiracy theory that adds to the hatred against Muslims[1][4].
