What is the history of MQM Pakistan and its leaders?

MQM Pakistan, previously known as Muhajir Qaumi Movement, is a secular political party in Pakistan that was founded by Altaf Hussain in 1984

.
The party claims to represent the Muhajir community in Pakistan, which is a community of Urdu-speaking Muslims who migrated from India to Pakistan after the partition of India in 1947. MQM Pakistan has undergone several splits and mergers over the years, with different factions claiming to represent the Muhajir community. In January 2023, Farooq Sattar and Mustafa Kamal joined the MQM-P in a much-hyped merger
