  Muslims can use loudspeakers to call Azan in the UK, but there are some restrictions. The use of loudspeakers for religious purposes is regulated by the Noise Act 1996. This act states that the use of loudspeakers between the hours of 11pm and 7am is prohibited, unless the local authority has granted an exemption. In addition, the use of loudspeakers for religious purposes must not cause a nuisance to others.
